Unique gifts sure to pique interest
Jewelry boxes were wedding dowries for storage of valuable items.  They were finely crafted, often with decorative and auspicious carvings.  The boxes were designed to be both secure and easily portable, therefore elaborate engraved brass fittings are common features in their design.
Baskets and other pieces were used to carry fruit, vegetables grain and water as needed. Like jewelry boxes they were also often decorated with auspicious motifs. These and many other interesting items can be seen in our antiques Canberra showroom.

Cake moulds were used to prepare delicious sweets made from flour with fillings like red bean paste. The shapes and carving are highly symbolic with wishes for long, happy lives and generations of children. You can use them to try your hand at making these foods. They are also great to hold small servings of nuts and sweets. Alternatively use them around the house for decoration or to hold every day items like keys and jewelry.
