More detail
The jewelry box has three secure drawers behind lockable doors. There is a mirror on the underside of the lid. The relief carving on the doors has gold leaf on lacquer.  The motif shows a married couple and the celestial twins Hehe, which is a wish for a happy family and many sons in life.  Engraved metal fittings are elaborate with motifs of peony, ruyi and butterfly. They symbolize wealth, good wishes and happiness.
