Gate House Italy by Roger Beale AO is a fading memory of a royal past. This gatehouse and avenues of great trees once marked the entrance to one of the palaces of the Savoy Royal family. It is now a B road!
About the Artist
Roger Beale AO is a traditional painter who is inspired by the beauty in life.
Roger trained part time at the Queensland Technical College. His teachers included Betty and Roy Churcher, Jon Molvig, Andrew Sibley and Melville Heysom. Peter Kennedy, Mike Parr and Mervyn Moriarty were Brisbane contemporaries.
