Artist Statement
I particularly like the texture, patina and decay that you find on ageing boats. The hull of a rusting vessel moored at Batemans Bay was the source for this mixed media work. A combination of sand, glue, acrylic paint, rope, and rust effect paint has been applied to the mat board to make this work. The rust effect paint will continue to rust and changes may occur.
