Artist Statement

This beautiful Moon Flask is a rare and exceptional piece of Famille Rose porcelain from the Qianlong period of 1736-1795. It features a pretty pink ground with vines and a garden scene with peonies and crab apple. It was originally auctioned by Christies. It has been visited by a Welcome Swallow. These beautiful little birds rest together high on the electricity wires above our country garden, swooping high in the air and flying very fast while catching insects in the air currents.
